EFS to support the Indian embassy with UAE amnesty scheme for Indian Workers

EFS Facilities Services Group is built on a foundation accredited with over 18 years in providing quality services derived by a large and diversified workforce.

With around sixty per cent of the company’s blue-collared workforce majorly coming from India, EFS has announced to extend support towards the Indian Embassy to facilitate and boost the UAE Amnesty Scheme which was declared on Wednesday 1st August 2018.

Under this scheme, the Indian Embassy is making sure that all Indian citizens staying illegally in the UAE avail of the three-month visa amnesty scheme where those who have entered the UAE legally but overstayed their visa can leave the country without paying any fine and can also regularize their status if they have a job offer.

Mr. Tariq Chauhan, Group CEO, EFS Facilities Services declared: “We are a business that majorly comprises of our diligent blue-collared workforce.

With the recent Amnesty push by the Indian Embassy, we are humbled to support this scheme and open doors to providing between 500 – 1000 job opportunities under the blue-collar quota. Our dire responsibility to give back to the Indian community shall reflect through the initiatives we carry through the Amnesty Act”.

As an enabler to this scheme, EFS, together with the Indian Embassy has conducted walk-in interview drives for Amnesty-seekers availing jobs at The Indian Social and Cultural Centre (ISC), Al Mina area, Abu Dhabi on September 16, from 9 am to 2 pm in the presence of more than 25 participating companies.

Taking this into account, EFS has always portrayed itself as a People-centric organization where its workforce has been the prime pillar of the organization’s foundation.

EFS, therefore, looks forward to working closely for the intentions of this scheme in empowering the Indian community in the UAE.
